This specialized interlining undergoes a brushing process where the fabric surface is raised using a machine to create a fluffy texture. The process enhances fabric properties by improving warmth retention, appearance, and creating a soft hand feel. Brushed fabrics are available in single and double-sided varieties across multiple fabric types including warp and weft knitting, KS cloth, long fiber, Allan cloth, TR/TC, and cone spinning.
The brushing finishing process involves lifting fibers from the fabric surface using dense steel needles to form a pile layer, also known as fleece. This technique is primarily applied to woolen fabrics, acrylic fabrics, and cotton fabrics, with wool fabrics producing short fluff when dry and elongated fibers when wet, while cotton fabrics are exclusively dry-brushed.
